Recently, Hangzhou LinkZill Technology Co., Ltd. (LinkZill) announced that it has successfully secured several million dollars in Series A funding invested by Proxima Ventures. This investment will significantly enhance the company's ability to deliver life science products and accelerate our expansion into global markets.

LinkZill was founded in January 2019, headquartered in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, with an R&D and Business Development Center in Cambridge, UK. In 2023, LinkZill built TFT Bio-semiconductor R&D Center in Hangzhou, focusing on the global interdisciplinary industrialization of TFT semiconductor technology in life sciences, novel display and sensing applications.

To date, LinkZill has served over 300 customers across more than 20 countries and regions worldwide. Additionally, LinkZill has been certified as "National High-tech Enterprise", "Specialized, Sophisticated, Unique, and Innovative SMEs", and "Provincial R&D Center of Zhejiang".

LinkZill focuses on TFT semiconductor-based DNA synthesis technology with flexible throughput and yield, as the direction towards industrialization in life sciences. Its first life science device -   Benchtop TFT-DNA Synthesizer, is the world's first TFT chip-based DNA user-end synthesizer. This device not only pioneers a new technological pathway but also mitigates risks associated with chip trade barriers. By fully leveraging the advantages of China’s TFT semiconductor industry chains, TFT semiconductor chips have the possibility to become low-cost, large-area, and mass-producible consumables for life science devices.

At the same time, the development of other synthetic products, including the TruPool™ 4K Oligo Pool and 65K-1M Throughput Oligonucleotide Microarrays, will be launched soon in 2025. LinkZill is continuously expanding the application scenarios, toolchains, and integrated solutions for its life science products, covering applications such as spatial omics technology development, pathogenic microbial detection, and AI-assisted protein design, positioning itself as a trusted partner for customers in the age of AI for Science.

LinkZill aims to make technology serve people better and more efficiently, with the vision of "Linking zillions of people and technology. Linking zillions of hearts with love." Moving forward, LinkZill will continue to deepen its expertise in TFT technology and build a more complete, domestically produced, and self-controlled life science device ecosystem. LinkZill strives to create a comprehensive life science toolchain to serve diverse fields, including synthetic biology, innovative drug research, high-throughput biotechnology, and point-of-care testing (POCT), driving a paradigm shift in the global life sciences industry with the support of China’s robust and mature TFT semiconductor manufacturing industry.

The LinkZill Partner Team:

In such a capital winter, we are especially grateful to all of our investors for their strong confidence in the original technological innovation of China. The entire LinkZill team is committed to upholding this trust, creating significant social value while delivering substantial commercial returns. We look forward to LinkZill’s continued growth and to representing China as a leader in the cross-industry integration of TFT semiconductors, shining on the global stage!

Proxima Ventures:

Proxima Ventures is proud to exclusively invest in LinkZill’s Series A round, mainly attracted by the company's industrial integration capabilities to bridge TFT technology into global life science applications. Compared to traditional CMOS chips, TFT technology offers significant advantages:

1) It is more scalable for large-area and flexible production, overcoming the bottlenecks of limited CMOS chip wafer foundry capacity, complex manufacturing processes, and long delivery times;

2) TFT technology is better suited for interdisciplinary applications. LinkZill applies TFT technology to digital microfluidics, high-throughput DNA synthesis, and custom DNA and protein synthesis in life science scenarios. This application allows for quick technology migration by leveraging the mature driver systems and material systems from the display industry;

3) China has unique advantages globally in the field of TFT, with massive investments and an unparalleled industry foundation unavailable in other countries. With the support of China’s world-leading supply chain, the cost of customized equipment and material procurement can be significantly reduced.

LinkZill's core team members graduated from top universities worldwide and have outstanding expertise in TFT chip design and system integration gained from leading biological and semiconductor companies. We believe that as life sciences and semiconductor technologies deeply converge, LinkZill’s products and services will bring revolutionary changes to the global life science field.

We look forward to LinkZill continuing to leverage its technological advantages, overcoming research and development challenges, improving the design of toolchain and technical selection, closing the commercial loop, and promoting the widespread application of TFT semiconductor chips in the field of life sciences.
